FearX qualify for BLAST R6 Major Montreal

FearX at the BLAST R6 Major Manchester

FearX have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Montreal after defeating PSG Talon in South Korea's Last Chance Qualifiers' grand final. After an overtime victory on PSG Talon's map pick, Chalet, FearX closed out the series with a 7-2 win on Lair.

This is the second time in a row that FearX have qualified for a BLAST R6 Major through South Korea's Last Chance Qualifiers. In the first stage of the season, the yellow roster defeated Dplus to qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Manchester.

It only took FearX and Dplus one stage to dethrone PSG Talon, who had taken over the South Korean scene after Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten's arrival. Since the Swed's arrival, the red roster has qualified for Manchester and the Esports World Cup. Unfortunately for them, after today's result, the team will miss out on Montreal.

This result is also a big blow at PSG Talon's goal of qualifying for the Six Invitational 2025 through the Global Standings as the team's abscence in Montreal will see them finishing the season with 300 SI Points — currently placing them in the middle of a three-team tie between the South Koreans, Bleed Esports, and Gaimin Gladiators.

Meanwhile, FearX's hopes of qualifying for the Six Invitational 2025 through the Global Standings are still alive as they will head to Montreal with 275 SI Points. To surpass PSG Talon's tally of 300 SI Points, the yellow roster will have to survive to the play-in stage and win two Swiss Stage matches.
