After Microsoft decided to abruptly close three Bethesda Studios, including the makers of Redfall (Arkane Austin) and Hi-Fi Rush (Tango Gameworks), a few reports suggested that the company was still debating whether to add the Call of Duty games to Game Pass or not from Day 1.
It appears their strategy with the popular shooter franchise was still being discussed since releasing the new games on the subscription service could affect revenue. However, a new report from The Wall Street Journal claims a decision has been made and the next Call of Duty, which is rumored to be Black Ops 6, will join the service from the first day.

The report doesn't specify if Microsoft is also planning to increase the subscription's price, with previous reports indicating that.
We won't have to wait long to find out if this will become true or not, as the report suggests the official announcement will take place on June 9 during the Xbox Games Showcase planned for that day. The game is also expected to have a Showcase of its own, which will take place right after the general one.
TheVerge's report specifies that Activision is currently targeting a late October release for the title, with Tom Henderson predicting it will come out on Friday, October 25.
