CAG become first Japanese team to qualify for BLAST R6 Major Atlanta

CYCLOPS athlete gaming have qualified for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta after defeating Crest Gaming Lst by 2-1. The three maps of the series finished with 7-5 results, as Crest Gaming Lst won the second one.

After this victory, CAG have secured a spot at the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta. Earlier this year, the Japanese missed out on the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen and could only get 100 SI Points as they lost to Varrel in the Last Chance Qualifiers.

In July, the Japanese played in the Gamers8 2023, where they lost to w7m esports and Oxygen Esports in the group stage.

The Japanese will play against the winner of the match between SCARZ and NORTHEPTION to decide the region's first seed. The Japan League grand final winner will qualify for the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta Phase 2, while the loser will move to Phase 1. At the same time, the region's top seed will obtain 150 SI Points whilst the second will get 130.
