Although it feels like not much time has passed since the season started, the Season 1 reloaded content for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is almost here. From a couple of new multiplayer maps and weapons to a brand-new Zombies map.
Here is a summary of everything arriving with the mid-season update to Treyarch's title so you can prepare accordingly and plan your next gaming session.
Release date
Season 1 reloaded for Black Ops 6 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, December 5 at 9:00 am PT (5:00 pm GMT). A new update will add all the new content and PC players can preload it one or two days before its release.
On the other hand, preload for console players will go live a few hours before launch as usual.
The second half of the season will last longer than the first since Season 1 is currently scheduled to end on January 28, 2025.
Roadmap
Here is the roadmap graphic detailing all the major additions coming in this second half:
New maps
Season 1 reloaded brings one new map, a remastered version of a map from a previous Black Ops game, and a remake of a map available in the current title. Here is the list:
- Hacienda (6v6): A remastered version of the Black Ops 4 map.
- Racket (2v2/6v6): A brand-new map.
- Nuketown Holiday (6v6): Nuketown with snow and Christmas decorations.
New weapons
These are the remaining Season 1 weapons that will be added to the game with the mid-season update:
- Maelstrom (Shotgun)
- AMR Mod 4 (Sniper Rifle)
- Cleaver (Melee)
All three weapons are listed to be part of the rewards of an upcoming event, similar to how the Power Drill and Sirin 9mm are rewards of the Hit List event.
Zombies
Season 1 reloaded brings a new map and several new additions to Black Ops 6 Zombies mode. The map is titled Citadelle des Morts and here is the intro cinematic in case you haven't seen it:
After the events of Terminus, Weaver and the rest of the crew arrive at a medieval city in the Avalon region, located in Europe. The characters meet up with an old friend, Sergei Ravenov, a character who helped us on several occasions throughout the Black Ops Cold War story and an old friend of Samantha.

A new limited-time mode called Jingle Hells will also be added, where the Liberty Falls map has been modified with Christmas-themed decorations and festive gameplay features.
Here are the modifications unique to this mode:
- Main Quest is Active! The Main Quest is available to complete this time around, with some added challenge now that the Arsenal and Crafting Tables aren’t around. Note: you’ll earn the standard Main Quest completion rewards if you finish the quest in Jingle Hells.
- Hear that Jingling? Expect bespoke audio to bring the festive flavor. You might want to look to the skies, too…
- GobbleGum Gifts: This is the best way to earn the “Holiday Cheer” GobbleGum!
- Snowball Piles: Gather up to five snowballs from various piles scattered about the map, then use them as potent projectiles!
- Naughty or Nice Power-Up: This large, floating stocking dishes out presents or spawns Vermin, depending on whether you’ve been naughty or nice.
- Snowmen: Undeniably jolly, but also fiendishly unfriendly, Liberty Falls has snowmen dotted around the map, and these can hide zombies or loot if left intact. It’s wise to make these your primary targets, especially as they drop handy loot when dispatched.
- Present Boxes: Under certain circumstances, zombies may drop a small present box, which can be opened for a gift that keeps on giving.
- S.A.M.T.A. Trials: The Trial computers that appear around the map now have a much more festive appearance. S.A.M.T.A. also has a few present boxes spawning nearby the machine when entering the map, so it’s worth seeking out!
- Frozen Rounds: There’s strange fog in the air, and during certain rounds you’ll be chilled to the bone, slowing your reactions considerably. Perhaps it’s time to head indoors…
On top of that, the overall Zombies experience will be updated with the following changes:
- Reducing the number of Mangler spawns at mid-to-high Rounds.
- Implementing a maximum cap on active Manglers in the game, ramping up until the cap is released at Round 100.
- Reducing the Mangler’s arm cannon health.
- Significantly reducing the length of Special Rounds by reducing the number of spawns and adjusting the spawn delay rate for Special Rounds.
- Scaling Parasite damage between Rounds 31-91.
- Slightly increasing damage scaling for base zombies at Round 150-400.
Other details
Here are other minor details and additions coming with the Season 1 reloaded update:
- Two new festive modes, Ran-Snack and Infectious Holiday, will be added to the multiplayer.
- Ran-Snack (Available at launch): Trade gold for sweets in this festive LTM that challenges teams to gather and deposit the most cookies. Grab cookies from the rotating crate, fallen Operators, and by breaching the enemy’s cookie box and taking the goods back to your own.
- Infectious Holiday: Even the undead are getting into the holiday spirit as zombies and fallen Operators don festive clothing in this festive twist on the fan-favorite Infected mode.
- The High Roller Wildcard, which allows you to run a fourth scorestreak in multiplayer, will be added.
- A new Recon-type perk called Shrapnel Radar will be added. Its official description says:
- Dealing blast damage to enemies will reveal them on your minimap. This includes any enemies affected by your area-of-effect Tacticals, Lethals, and Field Upgrades.
