Crossplay was first introduced into the franchise with the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019 and since then, every title has continued to include this feature.
When waiting for a match to start in the lobby, the game will display not only the platform each user is on but also the input device they're using to play, whether it's mouse and keyboard or a controller.
Does Black Ops 6 have cross-progression?
Another feature that is also present in Black Ops 6 is cross-progression, which goes hand in hand with cross-play.
This means that any progress made while enjoying the game will still be available even if you switch to a different platform, as long as you're using the same Activision account. This includes all the cosmetics unlocked by leveling up the battle pass, completing challenges, or purchasing through the shop.
