Beastcoast have won the BLAST R6 Major Manchester grand final after taking down Europe's first seed, Team BDS, following a thrilling five-map series.

Here's a brief look at the results from each map played in Manchester's grand final:

  • Beastcoast 7-4 Team BDS (Skyscraper)
  • Team BDS 7-3 Beastcoast (Consulate)
  • Beastcoast 5-7 Team BDS (Chalet)
  • Team BDS 5-7 Beastcoast (Kafe Dostoyevsky)
  • Beastcoast 7-5 Team BDS (Border)

The international debutant Ayden "dfuzr" Gabari had a rock-solid start to the series as he got 10 kills across the first three rounds of Skyscraper. Later, Matthew "Hotancold" Stevens stole the show as the American completed a 1v2 clutch to give Beastcoast the lead back.

After swapping roles, it was Shaun "Gunnar" Pottorf's time to shine as he secured 10 kills across the team's first three defenses, including a 1v1 clutch to bring Beastcoast to match point. Although Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu's 1v2 clutch saved the first match point, the Americans closed the first map of the series shortly after.

While Skyscraper saw Beastcoast dominating, Team BDS did so on Consulate. The Europeans had no issues to quickly owning the pace of the match as the team's use of the Solis made the difference in their latter defensive rounds, with Théo "LikEfac" Mariano's Garage play on the penultimate round of the match being differential.

Eventually, the Frenchman's Solis proved to be differential again as his final clutch on Chalet saw Team BDS leading the series for the first time. Ultimately, the Europeans were one map away from their second Six Major title.

Unfortunately for the French-majority squad, that would not happen. Beastcoast's upset on Team BDS' map pick Kafe Dostoyevsky was followed by a comfortable win on Border, which saw the Americans narrowly stopping their enemies' comeback attempt.

The grand final's MVP was Shaun "Gunnar" Pottorf, who set the record for the most kills at a BO5 match with 63. The American averaged a SiegeGG rating of 1.29 and obtained an entry balance of 10-4 (+6).
