That last event for Season 20 has been announced

Apex Legends Urban Assault event

A new collection event called Urban Assault is coming to Apex Legends to close out the current season. This event will not only bring several new cosmetics for you to unlock but also a new prestige skin.

If you are planning to take advantage of all the upcoming additions, we have gathered all the important details about it.

Release date

The Urban Assault event for Apex Legends is set to begin on Tuesday, April 23 at 10:00 am PT (6:00 pm BST). It will last exactly two weeks, ending on Tuesday, May 7 as this is also the start date for Season 21.

Trailer

Here is the official trailer of the event, which give us a first-look at most of the new cosmetics and additions:

Skins and other cosmetics

The event will introduce 24 new cosmetics that players will be able to unlock either via the special boxes or directly through the store.

There will also be several free rewards that users can obtain by simply just playing the game. Here is the prize tracker with all the rewards:

Since this is a collection event, a major prize will be available for those who obtain all 24 special cosmetics. The prize this time will be a prestige skin for Octane called "Apex Riptide" and here are all three of its tiers:

Tier 1

Tier 2

Tier 3

The skin also comes with the finisher "Deep Dive", which you will get whenever you execute an enemy while having the cosmetic equipped.

Three strikes return

The LTM Three Strikes makes a return during this event and it features several updates to its ruleset. In case you are not aware, this is a normal battle royale game but it features a limited respawn system.

Essentially, whenever a team gets wiped, it gets a strike and all its members respawn into the same matcha. After the third strike, the team is eliminated from the match and won't be able to keep playing.

Here are the new set of rules applied to this game mode:

  • Revive time reduced to 2.0s
  • Players revived with 100% health and 0% shields
  • New minimum guaranteed loot system - ensures you respawn with a competitive version of your loadout and inventory

Apex Rumble

Respawn will use this event to test a new competitive mode called Apex Rumble. KralRindo explained that this mode will be formatted in rounds, with two taking place during the duration of the collection event.

The first one will start on Wednesday, April 24, and the second one on Friday, May 3. The game mode played on these two rounds will be Three Strikes and here are the requirements your account needs to meet to be able to participate:

  • Account level 20 or more
  • Crossplay enabled

On top of that, players won't be able to join as groups, meaning that your teammates will always be random users.

This event will have its own leaderboard and there will be several prizes for anyone who completes certain challenges during each round.
