What are Heirloom Shards?
Heirloom Shards are a special form of currency in Apex Legends that can only be used to purchase Heirlooms in the mythic shop.
Once the event a Heirloom is introduced ends, the cosmetic can only be obtained through the mythic shop. Every Heirloom set costs 150 shards and usually includes two extra cosmetics on top of the melee weapon skin.
How to get Heirloom Shards?
The only way to get Heirloom Shards is through the Apex packs. Each pack has a 1% chance of dropping 150 shards, the exact amount you need to get a Heirloom set.
If an unlucky player opens 499 packs and none of them has shards, the 500th pack is guaranteed to grant them.
A pack containing shards will not be consumed out of the player's inventory and users cannot get more shards if they already own all the Heirloom sets.}
