The recently promoted Valorant team Apeks confirmed the signing of the two-time VCT Game Changers champion Ava "florescent" Eugene.

The Canadian player has become the first Game Changers eligible player to join a VCT Partnership team and will make her professional debut in the EMEA region at the VCT 2025 EMEA Kickoff, which will be played in January 2025.

The 18-year-old has won everything there was to win under Shopify Rebellion, as she became a VCT Game Changers champion for the first time in São Paulo, Brazil, after defeating Team Liquid in the tournament's grand final. The Canadian was chosen as the best player of the match with an Average Combat Score (ACS) of 281 and 112 kills after five maps played.

After winning every VCT Game Changers North America Series following two back-to-back BO5 wins against FlyQuest RED, the North American roster was unmatched at the VCT Game Changers 2024 as they won every map they played, including 2-0 victories against Team Falcons Vega, Xipto Esports, and G2 Gozen, and a 3-0 grand final win against MIBR GC. For the second tournament in a row, the Canadian was the grand final's MVP as she got an ACS of 317 and 74 kills in only three played maps.

Her talent hasn't gone unseen and Apeks signed florescent as she will compete in EMEA in the upcoming 2025 season. The Norwegian organization has added the 18-year-old after the departures of Dom "soulcas" Sulcas and Kajetan "kaajak" Haremski, who signed for KOI and Fnatic, respectively. After unveiling the arrival of the Canadian, the VCT Ascension EMEA 2024 champions still have to reveal the team's second signing, as the roster currently lacks one player.
