FaZe Clan Win the Second Season of the OGA Rainbow Six PIT

After fighting hard through the OGA Pit season, FaZe Clan have walked away with the Season 2 title, and the bulk of the prize winnings.

The prize pool of $15,000 will be split amongst finalists FaZe and Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP), as well as 3rd placed Team oNe, and 4th placed Team Liquid. The previous winners of the OGA Pit, BootKamp Gaming (BKG), will be disappointed with a last place finish this tournament.

In a tournament where all eight LATAM Pro League teams participated, FaZe Clan dominated the competition, proving they deserve their title as LATAM Champions. In their first two matches, FaZe first defeated Team Liquid then Immortals -- the second and third placed teams in the Pro League. FaZe then defeated NiP twice, and both times by a two map margin, first in the Best-of-Three Semi Finals, and then in the Best-of-Five Grand Final.

In the final, NiP won the first map, 6-4 on Oregon, but FaZe came back strong on Coastline, winning a back-and-forth map 6-4. Then, on the third map of Clubhouse, FaZe dominated on defense, taking a 4-1 lead into half, and then won two attacking rounds to take the map 6-1. Finally, FaZe closed things out on Bank with a 6-4 victory to take the series 3-1.

In a wrap up of some of the other participating teams, Team oNe Esports should be proud of their performance, having taken down Immortals and Team Liquid on their way to third place. Team Liquid immediately fell into the loser’s bracket due to an unfortunate first round game against FaZe Clan that saw them lose 2-1.

Immortals, on the other hand, had a disappointing tournament, first losing to FaZe and then to Team oNe to eventually finish in 5th-6th place. Unfortunately for BKG, their attempt to defend their title fell apart, as they lost their first two matches against Immortals and Team Liquid to finish in last place alongside Black Dragons.
