The competition will take place from September 7th to the 9th and will be the third DreamHack event of the year after DH Austin in June and DH Valencia most recently in July. Just like the two previous tournaments, the format will involve a “Bring Your Own Device” Open Qualifier for any team to join the 12 invited teams on the main stage over the weekend, however, unlike previously, there will be an 18+ age limit on all players attending meaning we won't see a repeat of DreamHack Austin in which the underaged team of Disrupt Gaming defeated Evil Geniuses and made the knockout playoffs.
This tournament will mark the 7th confirmed LAN in Montreal after the regional Canadian Nationals tournament and the much larger Six Invitationals that Montreal hosts yearly and will be seen as an excellent opportunity for North American teams to get some extra LAN experience going towards the Season 8 Finals LAN in Rio de Janeiro.
