According to an announcement from the organization, Astralis has signed Roman "Forrest" Breaux as their fifth player for the beginning of the 2022 NAL season.

The move reunites Forrest and Seth "Callout" Mik, who played together for Wichita Wolves and on eUnited. Callout will be the team's coach.

Astralis, as Disrupt Gaming, has spent the better part of two years on the precipice of international competition. They notched a top-four finish in 2021 NAL Stage 1, only for the Six Invitational to be postponed - stifling their chances at an international Major they would've otherwise qualified for.

Disrupt finished second in the NAL Qualifier Stage 2 tournament in 2020, finishing just a map behind Spacestation. A victory in that tournament would've qualified them for the "Mini-Major": regional competitions that took the place of planned Majors in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Forrest didn't have great placings when he was last in NAL, to say the least. He won his spot in Pro League with Obey, but a seventh-place finish in Pro League Season 11 and a last-place finish in the US Division of the inaugural NAL stage eventually saw him dropped from the roster.

It's not all doom and gloom though. Forrest impressed with his play for APE and Wichita Wolves since his previous professional stint. Time will tell how this shot with Astralis will play out.
