According to a press release, Parabellum Esports has been acquired by Intema Solutions. Intema is a Quebec-based publicly-traded company specializing in "esports and iGaming", according to their LinkedIn page.

Intema's intention to acquire Parabellum was made public on Dec. 8, 2021, via a letter of intent

According to another release, the rapidly-growing Intema Solutions also recently closed an acquisition for "Livestream Gaming", the parent company of LOOT.BET. In 2021, they closed acquisitions of HypeX.GG, Team BH (a Canadian Fortnite team), and THESMACK.GG. Intema is a Quebec-based company that is publicly traded on the TSX Venture Exchange. All trading on the TSXV is done electronically, and "the goal of the TSX Venture Exchange is to provide venture companies with effective access to capital while protecting investors," according to an investopedia listing.

"The addition of this talented team to Intema fits perfectly with our growth strategy and the ecosystem we are building in esports and iGaming," said Laurent Benezra, President and CEO of Intema in the press release.

"This deal with Intema strengthen[s] our organizational structure, ability to acquire top talent for the NAL to allow our team to compete against the powerhouse organizations who are already established in the league."

"Parabellum is here to be a Championship winning team and make Intema and Canada Proud," said Chris Lama, a co-founder of Parabellum and VP of Esports at Amuka Ventures when asked for a statement on the acquisition.

Parabellum won their spot in the North American League via a 3-0 victory over XSET in a relegation match following the conclusion of the third stage. Previously, their roster was a notoriously solid Challenger League team, and qualified for SI 2021 in the open qualifier. They finished top-12 at the Six Invitational after most expected them to be eliminated in groups.
