Rainbow Six Siege Valentine's Day cosplay proves love isn't dead (yet)

Romantic? Dangerous? This cosplay has it all.

Happy Valentine's Day! This is a day where a lot of people let their guards down for the sake of romance and love. But one Rainbow Six Siege cosplay has shown that you have to be careful with your heart.

Cosplayers Emi and Husko shared photos from their Valentine's Day photoshoot, which had Husko portraying Jager and Emi cosplaying Ela.

In the initial image, Jager could be seen hiding a weapon behind his back as he exchanges gifts with Ela. But a friendly Twitter user warned Jager that Ela was also hiding her own weapon!

"Thanks for the heads up, man!" Husko replied.

Who is Jager?

Jager was into engines and motors from a young age, developing advanced mechanic skills. But Jager quickly grew bored and went looking for a challenge. He started studying aeronautical engineering but wasn't a fan of the strict rules at university.

Private corporations started to reach out to Jager after hearing of his pilot skills. Jager ended up joining the BPOL-Aviation Group, enjoying the unique challenges and opportunity to serve his country. Jager also started designing defensive weapons, catching the attention of Rainbow.

Who is Ela?

Ela is the youngest daughter of a former Polish Special Operations Forces unit GROM commander. She excelled in training early on but left the military life behind to study fine arts in Berlin — and experience some freedom.

Ela had a reputation for using military paraphernalia in her art, which attracted the owner of a small private security company. She was offered a job, valued for her survivalist skills and adaptability.

When Ela's father died, she joined GROM back in Poland. Unlike Jager, she was fine following rules and was seen as a "team player with leadership potential." But she always had a distrust of authorities.

Her successful collaboration with SEAL eventually prompted her invitation to join Rainbow.

Combining Jager and Ela together in a cosplay is an interesting choice. Both operators have a disdain for authority and apparently have some big trust issues to work out. That makes the Valentine's Day cosplay all the more potent and accurate personality-wise.

Unfortunately, some Rainbow Six Siege fans pointed out that Jager would never have that weapon, a deagle. But Emi pointed out that Australia has strict gun policies and it's hard to find accurate weapon replicas. Husko added that the weapon was "borrowed from Valkyrie."
