Team Vitality exits competitive Rainbow Six Siege, drops team

The French organization had been in the scene since 2016.

Team Vitality has announced a complete departure from competitive Rainbow Six Siege, at least "for now".

In their statement, the organization also stated that their goal in 2022 was "building and developing the best teams in Europe, in the best ecosystems in the world." In order to achieve this goal, it now plans to refocus its efforts on "a selection of top-level esports" that offer favourable conditions to itself.

In its Rainbow Six Siege history, Team Vitality's various teams have been Xbox Pro League, Coupe de France, and 6 French League champions. They have also participated in the 2017 and 2018 editions of the Six Invitational.

Most recently, the Team Vitality team made an appearance at the Six Sweden Major in Nov. 2021. They also finished fourth in the Six Invitational 2022 EU Qualifier, falling to eventual winners MNM Gaming.
