How do you go about choosing the best player in competitive Rainbow Six Siege? Do you go for individual stats, or for trophies? Maybe individual distinctions? It’s a million dollar question.
Rainbow Six Siege has had many incredible players. We have picked a handful and decided who has been the best out of them.
Note: The stats were checked on Jan 25.
Note 2: Only players with +200 maps played have been included.
Luccas “Paluh” Molina
Looking at our database, Paluh arises as one of the best players in the world. These are some of the stats that back his candidature:
- Best K-D differential: 3232 - 2257 (+975)
- Second best entry differential: 485-327 (+158)
- Second best KOST: 71%
- Second highest KPR: 0.94
Team Liquid’s player also was chosen as the best player of Year 5. He played in the SI 2021 Grand Final, and has won two international competitions. He is one of the most regular players in the scene, always delivering for his team.
Surely one of the best in Brazil — and that’s a big deal nowadays.
Loïc “BriD” Chongthep
This might be a surprise for some, but the reason why I picked this player is his work as a support. Europe has seen many players that shine in this role, especially Daniel “Goga” Mazzora and Artur “ShepparD” Ipatov. However, once you look at the BriD's numbers, you realize how much has he succeeded at his job:
- Highest number of clutches by any player: 81
- Highest amount of plants: 340
- Highest percentage of rounds survived: 40%
- Highest KOST: 72%
BriD has played for three of the best French organizations Siege has ever had, as he represented Supremacy and Team Vitality just before signing for Team BDS.
Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen
Pengu is known for his Siege career with PENTA Sports and G2 Esports. However, he is now a content creator for DarkZero Esports who has also contributed as talent at international events, including the Sweden Major. What hasn’t Pengu done in Siege?
The Danish player is a double-world champion, taking home trophies at both SI 2018 and SI 2019 with PENTA and G2 respectively. He has also won the Paris Major, five Pro League finals, and a DreamHack. Pengu also reached the Raleigh Major Grand Final.
After his retirement, he worked as G2 Esports’ content creator. He recently moved to the US to join DarkZero Esports as content creator, and has also had his contributions as a talent.
Pengu currently has the overall fifth-best rating in Siege (1.16) making him a continually strong candidate for the “Best in Siege” title.
Stéphane “Shaiiko” Lebleu
Team BDS’ player has some of the best stats in the game after playing over 250 maps. His numbers are very close to Paluh, with his entry numbers demolishing the Brazilian’s — Shaiiko has 508 entry kills with 253 maps played, while Paluh has 485 in 339. He also surpasses Paluh in kills per round (KPR), with 0.99.
Despite his individual stats, we are talking about a player who has yet to win an international competition. Will the Six Invitational 2022 be his time to shine?
Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski
This North American player doesn't currently have the best stats in Siege but is a double-world champion. He won the Six Invitational 2017 with Continuum, and the Six Invitational 2020 with Spacestation Gaming.
Canadian has also played for some of the best NA teams, as he reached various international finals with Evil Geniuses before competing for Spacestation Gaming, and his current team, DarkZero Esports.
Final verdict — Pengu is the best Rainbow Six Siege player
Undoubtedly, Pengu is the best Siege player.
Pengu’s influence in the game is the biggest. He is not the most honored player in the game, but also has done everything someone can do in the scene: playing, casting, and producing content for an organization. He has also worked from two different regions, as he played in Europe but is currently part of DarkZero.
When you read Pengu, you read Siege. And that’s why he is the best player in the history of the game.
