Who is the best Rainbow Six Siege player?

Tough question, but here you have a list of who we think are the best Siege players.

Shaiiko EWC 2025

Although Rainbow Six Siege's esports scene is almost ten years old, the debate to name the game's best player is still well-alive.

In this article we try to answer the one-million dollar question, always having in mind international and regional success, longevity, results across their careers, and statistics.

So, here's who we think is the best Rainbow Six Siege player, as well as some other names to be mentioned in this iconic debate!

Who's the best Rainbow Six Siege player?

Stéphane "Shaiiko" Lebleu, also known as the French goat, has assembled himself in Rainbow Six Siege X's esports scene as one of the most successful players to ever touch the game. His results, performances, in-game knowledge, and insane mechanical skills make him a very special player.

Although his career began with a two-year suspension from ESL events after using macros in a match against PENTA Sports, the Frenchman stole the show right when he came back with a Top 4 finish at the Six Invitational 2020. Since then, the now 26-year-old has earned around USD$900,000 in prize pool money and has won multiple international and regional championships, including:

  • Gamers8 2022 and 2023
  • Esports World Cup 2024
  • Six Jönköping Major
  • Europe League 2024 Stages 1 and 2
  • European League 2022 Finals
  • European League 2021 Finals
  • 6 French League Season 2
  • Japan Invitational 2022

Moreover, the former Team BDS and current Team Falcons player has reached back-to-back BLAST R6 Major grand finals (Manchester and Montreal) and also played in the Six Invitational 2025 grand final. It's fair to say that Shaiiko only needs to lift the sledgehammer to be the indisputable Siege goat.

Other historical Rainbow Six Siege players

Logically, Shaiiko isn't the only player in this discussion. So, here are some players that could also be considered:

Luccas "Paluh" Molina

Individually, Paluh is undoubtedly one of Rainbow Six Siege's best players ever. He would easily make a Top 5 list and even a Top 3. Mechanically, he's up there. Unfortunately, there's a big but when talking about Paluh in this field: the Brazilian has never won an S Tier competition.

When we talk about S Tier competitions, we talk about Majors and the Six Invitational. His only international championship came at the OGA PIT Season 3 when the Blue Cavalry beat Spacestation Gaming in December 2019. It has been almost six years since Paluh's first and only international silverware. Since then, the Brazilian has lost three international grand finals, including the Six Invitational 2021, the Six Jönköping Major, and the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen. Moreover, the Brazilian has reached six more international semifinals. He has always come short from international glory.

The 25-year-old is mainly remembered for his six years at Team Liquid. However, he's now playing for w7m esports. In his first season for the Bulls, Paluh has finished in RE:L0:AD's Top 4 and collected a Top 12 at the Siege X EWC 2025.

Niclas "Pengu" Mouritzen

Historically, Niclas "Pengu" Mouritzen has been known as Rainbow Six Siege's best player. We understand if you still think the Dane is the greatest; however, four years and a half since his retirement, we believe it's has been too long.

Combining his PENTA Sports and G2 Esports player days, Pengu has won four PL Finals, two Six Invitationals, one Six Major, and one European Final. He has also lengthen his legacy in the scene after having worked as a caster and analyst for multiple Ubisoft competitions.

Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski

Pengu, PENTA Sports, and G2 Esports' nemesis was Troy "Canadian" Jaroslawski's Evil Geniuses. After winning the Six Invitational 2017 for Continuum the team signed for Evil Geniuses. It was then when the Americans became PENTA and G2's shadow as they lost back-to-back grand finals against the Europeans, including the Six Invitational 2018 and the Six Paris Major. They also lost the PL Season 9 Finals against Team Empire and the OGA PIT Season 3 against Team Liquid.

Shortly after leaving Evil Geniuses, Canadian won his second Six Invitational as he claimed victory for Spacestation Gaming at the Six Invitational 2021. In May 2022, Canadian won his first and so far only Six Major, as he led DarkZero Esports at the Six Charlotte Major. After a short stay at Soniqs, Canadian is now Shopify Rebellion's IGL.

Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten

Fabian "Fabian" Hällsten is the only Rainbow Six Siege player to have won three Six Invitationals. He's also the only person to win the Six Invitational both as a player and as a coach.

The Swede was the leading voice of PENTA Sports, the most dominant team to have ever played Rainbow Six Siege. He won back-to-back Six Invitationals in 2019 and 2020, won the Six Paris Major, reached the Six Raleigh Major grand final, and also won three Pro League Finals. He also won other regional and minor championships, making his legacy in the game even bigger.

Last but not least, Fabian's sledgehammer for G2 Esports at the Six Invitational 2023 as a coach was followed by a few months as a desk analyst and a full season as PSG Talon's head coach. Now, he's M80's head coach.

Felipe "FelipoX" Lucia

If you don't think FelipoX deserves to be in this list, you don't know ball. Although the 23-year-old is the youngest in this list, the Brazilian has already collected four Top 4 finishes at the Six Invitational, with his best result being lifting the sledgehammer in front of his home fans in São Paulo, Brazil, in February 2024.

While this is already an outstanding goal, the Brazilian has also won two BLAST R6 Majors and was also victorious in Rio de Janeiro's RE:L0:AD. Furthermore, he has reached three international semifinals, including the Gamers8 2022, the Esports World Cup 2024, and the Esports World Cup 2025.

All in all, the Brazilian has proven himself as a great leader. His personality and his involvement in and outside of the server are unique. Combined with his performances in results across his career, we believe FelipoX must be in this debate.

Jaime "Cyb3r" Ramos

Jaime "Cyb3r" Ramos joined FaZe Clan alongside José "Bullet" Victor, Gabriel "cameram4n" Hespanhol, and Lucas "soulz1" Schinke after winning the Brasileirão 2020. In his first season for the American brand, the Brazilians reached the Six Invitational 2021 Top 6 and won the Six Sweden Major. In the upcoming months, the team also collected a third-place finish at the Six Invitational 2022 and a second-place finish at the Six Berlin Major.

Between 2023 and 2024, Cyb3r and FaZe Clan were extremely consistent, as they reached three BLAST R6 Major semifinals and back-to-back Six Invitational grand finals, winning in 2025 against Team BDS one year after narrowly losing to w7m esports.

If FaZe Clan have done so well in recent years is mainly thanks to Cyb3r and soulz1, the only players standing from the MIBR and FaZe Clan transfer saga that happened about four years ago. So, mentioning Cyb3r was a must.

André "NESKWGA" Oliveira

Similarly to Paluh, NESKWGA is another legend of Brazil's Rainbow Six Siege. His best result for the Blue Cavalry came four months after joining the team as the Brazilians surprisingly beat the favorites PENTA Sports to win the PL Season 7 Finals. He was also part of Team Liquid's roster in OGA PIT Season 3.

Despite his individual performances and consistency especially between 2020 and 2022, NESKWGA hasn't won an S Tier championship since mid-2018. During those seven years, Brazil has grown immensely, and Team Liquid have fallen behind other names like FaZe Clan, w7m esports, FURIA Esports, and Ninjas in Pyjamas — in terms of international success.

Regionally, the Team Liquid legend has won two Brazilian top flights, making him one of the most successful players in his country. However, the lack of international success is difficult to be put to a side.
