Team Vitality has been officially eliminated from Six Invitational 2022 contention with a 2-0 loss to MNM Gaming in the lower bracket of the SI Closed Qualifier.

Vitality appeared poised to close out a comeback following a 2-6 scoreline on Clubhouse, but MNM abruptly shut the door on the attempt for a 2-0 map victory.

The win pushes MNM into the lower bracket final, where they'll face off against Team Secret for a spot in the best-of-five grand final against cowana.

The last team standing will punch their ticket to Stockholm, Sweden to compete in the Six Invitational 2022.

The EU Qualifier is the absolute last chance for a team from the European region to qualify for the event. In order to make this Closed Qualifier, teams had to either fight their way through the Open Qualifier tournament or get in by SI Point differential. So far, the two open bracket teams, MNM and Team Secret, are still in the tournament.

MNM's victory over Vitality also ensures that there will be another UK-majority team at SI 2022.

The final matches of the EU Closed Qualifier will take place tomorrow, Jan. 23, at 2:00 PM CET, according to Liquipedia
