Don Kim has taken over the CEO role at DarkZero Esports, according to an announcement from Zach Matula, the prolific former CEO of the organization. The news was first broken by Adam Fitch at Dexerto.
Additionally, yesterday, Spacestation Gaming officially announced Shawn "Unit" Pellerin as its new CEO.
The internal reconstruction of the two organization signals a slight change in the competitive "Rainbow Six Siege" landscape. Matula has been the de facto face of DarkZero "Siege" since 2018, and while the team remains unchanged, there's bound to be a slight shift in the public-facing personality of the brand.
Don Kim, who steps in Matula's proverbial shoes, is the former director of esports operations at TSM.
Unit has a long history with Spacestation. He's been with the organization for four years in a general manager capacity. Spacestation acquired its first "Siege" roster in 2018, the same year DarkZero entered the scene.
