With September beginning very soon, Marvel Rivals players are on the lookout for Season 4 news, as that is next in the calendar. Given the game's current model, a new season of content is expected to arrive every two months, delivering more stuff to do in the hero shooter.
Word of mouth is that NetEase will kick off a round of announcements very soon, but in the meantime, here is everything we know and speculate about the upcoming season.
When does Marvel Rivals Season 4 come out?
Thanks to the Season 3.5 roadmap, it is believed Marvel Rivals is scheduled to come out on Friday, September 12th. The respective update with all the new content should arrive at 2:00 AM PT (10:00 AM BST).
A maintenance period could take place, given that this update will start a new season. If that's the case, servers will go down at the time specified for two or three hours, and players will have to wait until the maintenance is over to be able to play again.
What can we expect?
If we look at the format of previous seasonal updates, here are some of the additions we can expect with Season 4:
- One new hero, with a second one arriving in October with the midseason update.
- One new map or mode.
- A new battle pass full of cosmetics.
- New Competitive rewards, like a skin for reaching gold or a higher rank.
- A new event with free rewards.
We still have no idea which characters will be added in this new season, as no important leaks have appeared online at the time of writing this article. However, one of the most recent updates added several voicelines for Daredevil and Deadpool.
It's not a surprise that both heroes are in development, and with those voicelines now in the files, that could be a clear indication that they will be available soon.
In terms of cosmetics, we expect to receive a new line of cosmetics based on the new season's theme, just like in previous occasions. However, not all of the new skins will revolve around that, with others probably taking inspiration from something else.
