Oxygen Esports unveiled the addition of the former Luminosity Gaming player James “Hat” Hatfield. The American has signed for the green organization to replace Mitch “Dream” Malson, who parted ways with Oxygen Esports on May 30.
Before joining Oxygen Esports, Hat competed for Beastcoast during Year 8. After being dropped from the blue roster, the American joined Luminosity Gaming after a rock-solid performance for Certified Lover Boys in ELEMENT TWO, where the team finished in second place
Seeing Oxygen Esports making roster changes isn’t a surprise to anyone. Despite finishing in third place at the Six Invitational 2023, Oxygen Esports missed out on the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen and the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta. Due to the team’s poor regional results, the roster missed out on the Six Invitational 2024 too. Unfortunately, the team’s results didn’t change in Year 9 as Oxygen Esports missed out on Manchester.
Oxygen Esports’ new signing will make his debut with his new teammates when the North America Esports World Cup open qualifier begins next week, on July 26.
