G2 Esports have been knocked out of the BLAST R6 Major Montreal after a harsh defeat against Soniqs, where the European-majority roster could only win two out of the sixteen rounds played.

G2 Esports kicked off the series on the wrong foot as the match began with a Soniqs' 7-0 victory on Clubhouse. Eventually, the Americans closed out the series with a rock-solid display on G2 Esports' pick, Kafe.

The only G2 Esports player who finished with a positive SiegeGG rating was Roberto "Loira" Camargo, who ended the game with a SiegeGG rating of 1.04 and a K-D of 15-13 (+2). The rest of the players in the squad finished with ratings below the 0.70 mark.

With this result, G2 Esports won't only miss out on the BLAST R6 Major Montreal Finals but have also been denied a Six Invitational 2025 qualification through the Global Standings. The team's only option to compete in Boston, Massachusetts, is winning one of the Six Invitational 2025 regional qualifiers that will be played sometime between December and January.

G2 Esports is the only two-time Six Invitational champion as the European powerhouse lifted the hammer in 2019 and 2023. Additionally, the organization has competed in every Six Invitational edition since 2019 except for one, the Six Invitational 2022.
