Now that July is almost finished, fans are patiently waiting for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 and the potential changes that come with it. It’s hard not to be excited about new seasons, since they can fundamentally change how the game is played. While Epic Games hasn’t confirmed the news, leakers have revealed some interesting information about this new update.
Leaks for the shooter have been constant, so fans already have an idea of what could be added in this new season. Collaborations are now a core part of this shooter’s identity. The potential gameplay leaks will excite players, as they might bring back some mechanics many have missed.
Here’s what we know about Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4:
When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start?
Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 4 is confirmed to start on August 7, 2025.
Unlike in previous seasons, the final event of the season was held five days before the start of the upcoming season, as Fortnite Super Showdown took place on August 2, 2025.
Fortnite to bring Power Rangers collaboration
Fortnite will bring a Power Rangers collaboration to the game with Season 6 Chapter 4. Although a release date isn't official yet, the Fortnite and Power Rangers collaboration is expected to be released on August 7, 2025.
So far, Fortnite hasn't made this collaboration official. However, Fortnite's reply to an X user asking for a Power Rangers collaboration has been read as a teaser.
Although this hasn't been confirmed yet, the popular Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR revealed that the Fortnite and Power Rangers collaboration will be part of the Fortnite Season 6 Chapter 4 Battle Pass. This will include a Tommy Oliver skin, given to players for reaching Tier 100, and a Megazord Secret skin.
Fortnite to bring Halo collaboration
Fortnite will bring a Halo collaboration to the game with Season 6 Chapter 4, as confirmed on Fortnite's X account on August 2, 2025.
Fortnite has already confirmed that the Fortnite and Halo skins will be included in the Season 6 Chapter 4 Battle Pass. For those unaware, a Battle Pass is 1,000 V-Bucks, the equivalent to USD$10.
While Fortnite hasn't unveiled what skins will be part of the Fortnite and Halo collection, players should expect a Female and a Male Spartan, as seen in Fortnite's post that confirmed the collaboration.
Mud is coming back in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4
Gaming insider Looloo has teased that mud will be coming back in the newest season of Fortnite. On paper, that’s not the most exciting news in the world, but this will mean a lot in terms of gameplay. There are certain techniques players can use in the mud that can’t be replicated in other parts of the environment, so this could be very good news.
Mud also means that stealth mechanics can return to the game, so that means a quieter approach in this action-packed battle royale. Only time will tell if the leak ends up being true, but this would be a welcome change for many. Expect an announcement from Epic Games fairly soon.
Bug Invasion theme
Fortnite's Season 6 Chapter 4 will have a "bug invasion" theme. This has been a leak for a while now, but the information has now been confirmed by Fortnite.
On August 2, Fortnite released a short video where a loud buzz can be heard while a couple of players are building a house on Fortnite's map. The caption of the video is simple: "You say extermination, they say renovation. Bugs are movin' in on the map!"
So, expect a theme where players must fight against some kind of bug invasion which tries to take over the Fortnite map. Coming from a super hero theme, players may need as much help as possible to push the bugs away of the map... so, yeah, super heroes should stay for a bit longer!
