Heroic and Georgi "GorgoNa" Stoyanov have "mutually decided to part ways" in a decision the player has been thinking about for "more than a year now", according to GorgoNa's TwitLonger.
GorgoNa was part of the Cowana Gaming roster back when the team made its way to Europe's top flight. After unsuccessfully qualifying for Majors under the German organization, the team was picked up by Heroic.
After qualifying for the Charlotte Major, where Heroic couldn't make it past the group stage, they missed out on the Berlin Major after finishing in fifth place.
Despite the results, GorgoNa insisted that the "decision isn’t due to recent results from official matches."
"Anyway I fully understand that every team faces issues, but I’ve been struggling to accept and justify for a long time just how many we’ve been having and how frequently they have been recurring. ... I feel like as well there’s been a growing lack of trust between the players themselves, and the support staff," he added. Due to those issues, said GorgoNa, he was no longer comfortable staying with the team.
