Ancient and Shoots receives some modifications with the latest CS2 patch

Valve has reverted some changes

CS2 Ancient daytime

A new CS2 patch arrived overnight, and as always, Valve also shared the notes detailing every change or adjustment.

This update focuses on adjustments to the maps Ancient and Shoots, which were both updated and even received a nighttime version with the patch that came out less than a week ago. Some changes to Ancient have been reverted, like the house roof decoration near CT spawn or the ability to wallbang the plywood in "cave".

Shoots didn't receive any major changes, just some player clipping adjustments. Source content from both maps was added to the assets pool that community map makers can access, giving them more resources.

Apart from the changes to those maps, the patch just implements several bug fixes, as expected. Here are the complete notes that were posted on the game's Steam page:

  • Restored the ability to wallbang the plywood in "cave".
