Valorant's new agent Clove won't feature at any top-flight competition until Riot Games fixes a "recently discovered bug", according to Valorant's informative post on X (formerly Twitter).
Clove's release to the competitive agent pool was scheduled for the second week of Stage 1. Unfortunately, Riot has decided to push back her professional debut. "Due to a recently discovered bug with Clove, the Agent's eligibility for International League competition will be put on hold," said Valorant's official statement.
While the information doesn't include details about the bug, many players have experienced issues while using the Scottish agent — including problems with Clove's weapon after using their Ultimate and their body not dropping to the floor when being killed, which makes it look like Clove is still alive.
Clove was added to the game on March 26 with the deployment of Patch 8.05, which also included other minor updates. The update came shortly after the conclusion of the VCT Masters Madrid, which Sentinels won after defeating Gen.G Esports.
As of now, the only ongoing top-flight competition is the VCT 2024 EMEA League Stage 1 as Karmine Corp and Team Liquid defeated GIANTX and Movistar KOI, respectively. Meanwhile, the rest of the professional leagues (VCT Americas, VCT Pacific, and VCT China) will kick off later this week.
