Results: 13-5 Sunset, 13-11 Breeze

LOUD qualified for the fifth day of action at the VCT Masters Madrid after a one-sided victory against FunPlus Phoenix on Sunset and Breeze.

The Brazilians started with a comfortable win on their map pick, Sunset, where the team only dropped five rounds. With 18 kills to his name, the Argentinian Matías "Saadhak" Delipetro was the best player on the team during the first map of the series.

However, FunPlus Phoenix showed more strength on their pick, Breeze. Despite losing the initial two rounds, the Chinese tied the scoreboard by round four and managed to stay on top until the roles were swapped. By then, the Asian roster was 7-5 ahead.

Following a slow start to the second half, the Brazilian roster temporarily overtook the Chinese and put themselves up by two rounds (9-7). It was then when, after winning four of the next five rounds, FunPlus Phoenix seemed to be on the verge of sending the game to map three.

It was then that the Brazilians woke up. Instantly, the roster from the VCT Masters took control of the match and won the following three rounds to conquer Breeze (13-11). Overall, with an ACS of 259 and 37 kills, Matías "Saadhak" Delipetro was the best player of the series.

Tomorrow, the Brazilians will play against EDward Gaming for a chance to clinch one of the remaining two spots in the VCT Masters Madrid playoffs.

Results: 13-10 Sunset, 10-13 Lotus, 13-7 Split

Paper Rex survived to the fourth day of competition after defeating Team Heretics in the final match of the weekend. Ultimately, this means that the Spanish organization couldn't win any of their matches on home soil.

Overall, the series between both teams was incredibly close. Both Sunset and Lotus followed a very similar script, where Team Heretics and Paper Rex constantly exchanged rounds as none of them could get a clear advantage. Eventually, Paper Rex's win on Sunset was followed by Heretic's victory on Lotus.

The third map, Split, decided the winner. A rock-solid defensive half from Team Heretics saw them quickly become the favorites to win the map, as the Spanish organization had a temporary lead of 6-2. However, the Asian roster took control of the game there and ended up winning the series in an almost unstoppable fashion as they won eleven of the last twelve rounds of the match.

With 61 kills and an ACS of 261, Ilya "something" Petrov was the best player of the match. Following today's result, Paper Rex will play against Karmine Corp for a spot in the VCT Masters Madrid playoffs.
