Will Helldivers 2 be on Xbox?

Helldivers 2 is having a brilliant launch, gathering a large amount of users in its second week after launch. The game is only available for PS5 and PC, as it was created by Arrowhead Game Studios, one of Sony's development studios.

So this leads to many people wondering if we will ever see an Xbox version of the game, especially because of how popular it is at the moment.

Will Helldivers 2 come to Xbox?

For now, neither Sony nor Arrowhead have said a word about an Xbox version of the new third-person shooter. This shouldn't be a surprise as the game was marketed as a PlayStation and PC exclusive since its announcement.

Regardless of that, the community has started asking for the game to be released on Microsoft's consoles. Not only have post about it started appearing online, but also a petition on Change.org with more than 70k signatures is currently ongoing.

Whether Sony listens to the people's demand is something to be seen, as the company is not known for releasing its franchises on Xbox consoles.

Microsoft has already announced that it's bringing a few of its exclusives, like Hi-Fi Rush or Sea of Thieves, to PlayStation, so Sony could follow the same path and open the doors for a Helldivers 2 on Xbox Series X|S. 

Does Helldivers 2 have crossplay?

Fortunately, the game does support crossplay on both the PlayStation 5 and PC versions. This means that you can get into a server with players from either platform, with no restrictions whatsoever.

So if you are planning to get the game to play with your friends, you won't have to worry about buying it on the same platform as theirs.
