With the release of more information about Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 1, we finally have a date for the launch of Ranked Play. Keep on reading to know more about it!
When is Ranked Play coming to Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty Black Ops 6's Ranked Play is coming to the game on November 21. With Season 1 being released on November 14, players will have to wait for a week to start their competitive matches.
This is the earliest the competitive ladder has launched in any Call of Duty, with recent titles receiving this mode around the second season or a little bit before it.
Although Ranked Play will be available starting from November 21, all players must have won 50 Matchmade Multiplayer games to unlock Ranked Play.
Rewards
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 1 Ranked Play rewards include eight different bundles, which are the following:
- Ranked
- Gold
- Platinum
- Diamond
- Crimson
- Iridescent
- Top 250
- Champion
Players will be able to claim their rewards for playing Ranked at the end of the season.
Ranked Play new features
Call of Duty Black Ops 6's Ranked Play will include new features to improve the players' experience while playing the game's competitive playlist.
First, Treyarch has included a map and mode veto. This system will allow players to have a stronger say in how Ranked Play works. Basically, players will be able to veto one of the three maps and modes presented in the lobby. After both teams have made their veto pick, the remaining option will be selected.
Secondly, a Forfeit option has been introduced so teams who have lost one player or are being demolished can put the match to a quick end. However, it won't be available since the start of the match, only when:
- Hardpoint: Winning Team reaches 100 Points
- Control: After 1st Round
- Search & Destroy: After 3rd Round
Additionally, the seasonal setback system has been adjusted "to reduce the impact felt by players early in their Rank journey." This means that the seasonal setback system will affect players differently depending on their rank, as follows:
- Bronze and Silver players aren't affected by the seasonal setback system.
- Gold and Platinum players will start the next season in Tier I of Gold or Platinum, respectively.
- Diamond and above players will start the next season at Diamond I.
