Any Warzone player who really wants to test their skills can jump into Ranked Play, the competitive side of the free-to-play title. The mode relaunched with the arrival of the Season 1 reloaded update, featuring a new map, new rewards, and more.
If you plan to jump into the competitive ladder, here is a summary of all the major details you should know.
How to unlock Ranked Play?
To access Warzone's Ranked Play mode, players need to have 30 matches where they placed in either the top 15 in Battle Royale or the top 6 in Resurgence.
This requirement only tracks matches played after the Season 1 launch, when Black Ops 6 content and mechanics were integrated into the game.
Ranks
Just like in Black Ops 6 Ranked Play, Warzone's mode features a total of eight major ranks. Here is the full list in descendant order:
- Top 250
- Iridescent
- Crimson
- Diamond
- Platinum
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
Rewards
There are two sets of rewards in Ranked Play, career rewards and seasonal rewards. Career rewards are permanent, while seasonal rewards will evidently change with each season.
The following graphic posted on the Call of Duty blog lists both types of rewards available during Season 1:
Career rewards include operator skins for the Ranked Play operator that you can unlock from reaching Gold rank or higher. You will receive the skin as soon as you reach the rank, unlike in previous years where players received it at the end of a season.
Here is a closer look at the Ranked Play operator skins that you can unlock with each rank:
On top of that, there are rewards for achieving certain milestones like wins, top finishes in a game, and a specific number of eliminations.
Other details
Here are other minor details and changes implemented into Warzone Ranked Play this year:
- Players can party up with anyone no matter the rank, however, the matchmaking will be based on the highest-ranked player in the group.
- Each player's first loss of the day will not result in losing SR or rank.
- Here are the rank setbacks applied to all players at the end of each season:
- Bronze and Silver players are not impacted.
- Gold and Platinum players will start the new season at Tier 1 of Gold or Platinum respectively.
- Diamond and above players will start at Diamond 1 in the new season.
