With the new year underway, Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is getting closer. The game has been criticized heavily online due to the cheating situation presented in both multiplayer and Warzone Ranked Play.

Activision already promised some improvements for the anti-cheat system with the new season's launch but you might wonder what else is coming to the game. While we wait for any official announcement, here is the little information we have about the upcoming season.

Release date

According to the in-game countdown, Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone is scheduled to release on Tuesday, January 28 at 9:00 am PT (5:00 pm GMT).

The new content will be added through an update and the season should last around eight weeks, with a major update dropping in the middle to add all the content for the second half.

What can we expect from Season 2?

The season will add all the content that we are used to seeing, this includes new weapons, operators, a battle pass full of cosmetics, new game modes, and even new perks/scorestreaks.

As mentioned before, Activision stated through a blog post that Team RICOCHET was working on major updates to the anti-cheat system, with one of them launching with Season 2 and the other one arriving with Season 3.

No details have been provided on this update, but we believe this will be disclosed once we get close to the season's release to try to appease the community's worries about this delicate situation.

For those wondering if Verdansk will finally return this season, it is very unlikely as Area 99 was just released last season. We could see the map getting added with Season 2 reloaded but realistically, we believe the map is arriving in Season 3 at the earliest.

Once new information about the new content gets released, we will update this article to add all the important details to prepare you for it.
