The VCT Masters Madrid playoffs bracket has been unveiled following Paper Rex's victory against Karmine Corp.
Unfortunately, the watchers may not be pleased with the Upper Bracket Semifinal matches as Sentinels and Gen.G Esports will play against LOUD and Paper Rex, respectively. If having regional games at a VCT Masters Semifinal wasn't boring enough, it's important to keep in mind that both clashes have already taken place twice this season.
The first game of the playoffs will be played on the 21st of May at 4 PM CET as the South Korean roster will play against the Singaporean organization. Both powerhouses have met three times before, with Paper Rex winning two matches. Gen.G Esports' only victory against their upcoming rivals was at the VCT Pacific 2024 Kickoff grand finals, where the South Koreans won by 3-1.
Right after the conclusion of the game, Sentinels and LOUD will meet in what will be a replay of the VCT Americas 2024 Kickoff grand final. The winner of the series will move to the VCT Masters Madrid Upper Bracket Final and face off against Paper Rex or Gen.G Esports. Meanwhile, the losers of both series will meet on May 22 as the loser will be knocked out of the VCT Masters Madrid.
