Veto is here to change it all. As seen yesterday in Riot Games' first official Veto teaser, fans could see an agent whose ability could cancel any type of ability. Well, there's way, way more than that.
Meet Veto, Valorant's new agent. He's from Senegal, but he suffered some transformations that gave him super abilities. So, he's a human, but with super powers. Isn't that cool?
Veto will be a Sentinel and his set of abilities is incredibly strong, at least after giving it a quick glance. His abilities will allow him to teleport across a bomb site and, as previously mentioned, he will be able to cancel enemy utility. This means that he will be able to destroy Gekko's Wingman, Raze's grenades, or even Sage's wall without having to shoot at it; his ability will do the whole job.
In Veto's reveal video, we can see even more than that. He's not just a very difficult agent to play against due to his teleportation ability, but he is also able to create immunity against other agent's abilities. As seen in the video, Veto's ultimate ability will make him immune to the enemies' abilities, even Brimstone's!
Considering how ability-sided Valorant's meta currently is, we expect Veto's pick rate to be extremely high especially in the early weeks after being launched to the game. This agent is exactly what players needed now; someone who can cancel utility.
Nevertheless, it's hard to ignore that Veto is too good. Literally, he does everything at once. Riot Games will have to find a place where Veto's abilities aren't too overwhelming, and, at the same time, making his abilities not so-easy to use if there's no skill involved. After all, this agent will be broken if it's just about planting a mine or just pressing a button.
