To celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year, corresponding to the Year of the Snake in 2025, Riot is hosting a new mini-event for Valorant players. This comes just a few weeks after the start of Season 2025 Act 1, with the game adopting a new format for its acts.
Although it hasn't been officially announced, many details about this event have already leaked. We have gathered all the information available so you can read about it and prepare for the celebration.
Release date
According to the ValorantLeaksEN account on X (formerly Twitter), the Year of the Snake event in Valorant is scheduled to begin on Friday, January 24th. The event will remain available for almost three weeks, ending on Thursday, February 13.
Event pass and rewards
Just like on previous occasions, the Lunar New Year event will introduce a new event pass with rewards anyone can unlock by simply playing. Here are all the rewards leaked by the same ValorantLeaksEN account:
- "Serpent" title
- "Cooked" title
- "Serpent's Celebration" player Card
- "Dimensional Folding" player Card
- "A Fruitful New Year" spray
- "Spoonful" GunBuddy
- 20 Radianite
The order in which you can unlock these cosmetics and the amount of playing time needed is unclear, meaning we might have to wait until the event kicks off in the game to know more.
