Valorant fans complain about Helix Flex price, players want Riot Games to change it

It's almost as expensive as a weapon skin.

It's very difficult to complain about Riot Games' decisions when it comes to Valorant cosmetics. If something in the game is more popular than the agents themselves, it's weapon skins like the Kuronami or the Prelude to Chaos, just to name a few.

However, despite Riot Games' success in this area, Valorant fans have finally found a reason to complain. While the criticism hasn't fallen on the weapon skins, the game's community is annoyed at Riot Games due to the price of the first Flex item released in the store: the Valorant Helix Flex.

Included in the Valorant Helix Bundle, the Valorant Helix Flex is the first item of its kind to hit Valorant's store. While players can purchase the Helix Bundle for 6,950 Valorant Points, they can also acquire the cosmetics individually. This gives players the option to only purchase the item that they really want — and it also means we finally have an idea of how much future Flex cosmetics should cost. It's fair to say, the community hasn't liked it.

Surprisingly enough, Valorant's Helix Flex has been put up for sale for 1,375 Valorant Points. In other words, the Valorant Helix Flex is worth USD$15. It's worth remembering that Valorant Flex cosmetics add nothing to the game and players, well, can only use it to flex on their opponents.

To put it into perspective, the Valorant Helix weapon skin for the Phantom is up for sale for 1,775 Valorant Points, which is only 400 Valorant Points more expensive than the Valorant Helix Flex. The price in dollars for the weapon skin is USD$20.

Logically, fans didn't take long to beg Riot Games for a price reduction for the Valorant Helix Flex. In fact, the most liked reply to Valorant's post on X (formerly known as Twitter) to fix the item's price has more likes (2K) than the Valorant's original post (1,7K).

While we don't think the price for the Valorant Helix Flex will be tweaked, the community's backlash should make Riot Games think twice about the price of future Flex cosmetics. Time will tell.
