Champions is Valorant’s biggest stage, it is where world champions are born. In one month, a new group of players will write the next chapter in the game’s esports scene. But, who is it going to be?
From September 12 to October 5, 2025, sixteen of the best Valorant teams in the world will face off in Paris, France, for a chance to take it all. International glory and USD$1M await for the champion.

Where will Valorant Champions 2025 be played?
The group stage and the bracket stage will be played in Les Arènes de Grand Paris Sud, while the Valorant Champions 2025 will be played in the Accor Arena.
While Les Arènes de Grand Paris Sud has a capacity of approximately 3,000 people, the Accor Arena has a maximum capacity of 20,300 seats. Both venues are pretty far away from each other, so keep that in mind if you’re planning on attending Champions 2025.
What format will be used in Valorant Champions 2025?
Champions 2025 will be split into a group stage and a playoff stage, with the finals taking place between October 3 and October 5.
Here’s how the group stage and the playoffs will work:
Group Stage
The 16 teams in the competition have been split into four groups of four rosters each. The only rule in the creation of the groups is that teams from the same region couldn’t clash in this initial stage, meaning all group stage matches will be cross-regional.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that all groups include a fourth, second, third, and fourth seeded team from each region. The idea behind this is to make the groups as fair and balanced as possible.
Champions 2025’s groups follow a double-elimination system where the two teams that win two games move to the playoffs. Meanwhile, the teams with two defeats are automatically eliminated. All matches at this stage follow a BO3 format – which means each series can have up to three maps.
Playoffs
The eight surviving teams advance to the playoffs. The four top seeds are drawn with the second seeds as they all start from the playoffs’ main bracket – also known as Upper Bracket.
Similarly to the group stage, the playoffs follow a double-elimination system with BO3 matches. Teams who lose in the Upper Bracket fall to the Lower Bracket. Then, teams who lose in the Lower Bracket are eliminated.
In the playoffs, all games are BO3 series except for the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final, which will be BO5 matches. These are the two most important games, no more second chances!
What is the prize pool for Champions 2025?
Champions 2025 will offer a prize pool of USD$2,25M.
The prize pool has been the same for the last three editions of Champions, as it went from USD$1M to USD$2.25M in Champions 2023.
Here’s a breakdown of the Champions 2025 prize pool:
- 1st: USD$1M
- 2nd: USD$400,000
- 3rd: USD$250,000
- 4th: USD$130,000
- 5th - 6th: USD$85,000
- 7th - 8th: USD$50,000
- 9th - 12th: USD$30,000
- 13th - 16th: USD$20,000

Champions 2025 will feature 16 teams, four from each region, including Americas, China, EMEA, and Pacific.
