Valorant 9.01 update: Everything we know about the next patch

Now that players are enjoying the new content of Episode 9 Act 1, version 9.01 is next on the calendar for Valorant. Even though there are still a few days left for its arrival, Riot has already revealed a few changes coming to the game.

As we wait for more information about this new version, here is everything revealed so you can start reading about it.

Predicted release date

A release date for version 9.01 hasn't been announced but Riot launches a new Valorant patch every other week. With that schedule in mind, most people would think this version is set to come out on Tuesday, July 8/Wednesday, July 9, two weeks after the release of version 9.00.

However, Riot Games announced that most of their employees will take the first week of July off as part of their annual summer break. This means that patches will be delayed for the majority, if not all, of their games.

With that in mind, we believe that version 9.01 will come out on Tuesday, July 16/Wednesday, July 17.

What do we know about the patch notes?

One of the few changes we know is that this patch will add Lotus to the map rotation of the game's console version. Riot previously announced that each future patch will bring a new map into consoles until the map pool is on par with the PC version.

Apart from that, we expect this update to include more changes to continue the balancing of agents.

The new version could also lay the ground for the arrival of the next agent by adding some new voice lines and teasers. Many believe this upcoming playable character will be added at some point during the next season, Episode 9 Act 2.
