After posting a few teasers on the official social media pages, a trailer for Season 2 of The Finals has finally been released. This not only gives us our first look at a brand new map, but also other interesting additions coming to the game.
Release date
The Finals Season 2 is slated to begin on Tuesday, March 14 for all platforms. An update should come out that day at the same time as previous patches to add all the new content to the game.
If the format remains the same, this new season should remain available for three months before moving on to the next one.

New map
Most of the trailer takes place in the new map coming with this season, which appears to be a city with a futuristic and neon touch to it.
From what we can see, this map has a lot of building where players can climp up and fight within, offering a great amount of space not only horizontally but also vertically to allow for the chotic mechanics to thrive.
New gadgets and specializations
Here is a list of all the new gadgets and specializations shown in the trailer so you can start getting used to them:
- Gadgets
- Gateway: Create a portal which users can use to escape from a dangerous situation.
- Data Reshaper: Camouflages objects by making them look like something completely different.
- Anty Gravity Cube: Makes object inside its radius to levitate by removing gravity.
- Specialization
- Dematerializer: Creates a hole in a surface without destroying it.
Other additions
One of the new game modes coming with this season is called "5 vs 5 Power Shift", which increases the teams' sizes to 5 instead of the traditional 3 players from the base game modes.
The trailer shows us briefly a few of the new skins that players will be able to get during this new season, with most of them in tune with the retro and neon theme of the season.
The trailer also specifies that new weapons, new abilities, a revamped ranked league, and the addition of private matches are coming throughout this season, although not much about this is shown in the gameplay.
