Team Liquid and Spacestation Gaming qualified for Manchester's Phase 2 after defeating Geekay Esports and Bleed Esports, respectively.
The astronauts were the first to qualify after defeating the Asia League 2024 Stage 1 champions. The Americans had to perform a comeback after losing on Clubhouse, which was followed by two flawless map wins on Bank and Kafe Dostoyevsky. Unfortunately for Bleed Esports, this is the third time they have lost to Spacestation Gaming after defeats at the BLAST R6 Major Atlanta and the Six Invitational 2024.
Meanwhile, Team Liquid followed Spacestation's footsteps after defeating Geekay Esports on Consulate (7-5) and Clubhouse (7-4). With this result, the Brazilians joined their fellows FaZe Clan, E1 Sports, and FURIA Esports in Manchester's second phase.
Following today's initial scores, Bleed Esports will play against FearX, while Geekay Esports will face off against CAG Osaka. The winners will move to Phase 2.
