According to a post from his Twitter account, Adenauer "Silence" Alvarenga has retired from Rainbow Six Siege, but will still be a part of Team Liquid in a different role.

"I’ve been through all kinds of emotions. I’ve learned how to win, and most importantly, I’ve learned how to rebuild myself after a defeat," Silence said in a TwitLonger. "I can say I’ve built a beautiful legacy after achieving so much alongside my teammates from every team I’ve worked with. Those teams were: Team United, Santos Dexterity, INTZ, Fontt, FaZe (for a short period of time), and Team Liquid, where I am working until today."

Silence leaves a legacy of success from his time in Team Liquid, with BR6, Copa Elite Six, OGA PIT, and Pro League Season 7 Finals victories. Additionally, Silence helped lead Liquid to the SI 2021 grand final.

Liquid recently finished fifth-sixth at SI 2022, and were one of the favorites until a pair of losses to eventual champions TSM FTX and young upstarts MiBR knocked them out of the tournament.

According to a screenshot of Silence's Twitter bio, his next step could be as a Fortnite manager for Team Liquid. However, there has been no official statement on the precise next step from Team Liquid, or Silence, who in his Twitlonger said, "I am still part of Team Liquid but in a different position! Announcement soon? Maybe?"
