Sentinels have defeated DRX in the first match of the playoffs after victories on Sunset (15-13) and Haven (13-8). With this result, the American side moved to the Upper Bracket semi-finals, while the South Korean squad has fallen to the Lower Bracket.

The Americans were close to throwing Sunset away after their opponents came back from a 7-11 difference. After the South Koreans reached match point, Sentinels forced overtime. Although DRX got the upper hand after winning the first overtime round, the Americans ended up confirming the map win with three consecutive rounds.

Finally, Haven was different. After both teams swapped sites with a 6-6 draw on the scoreboard, the Americans put themselves ahead after successfully defusing the Spike in four of the their first five defences. Eventually, the red roster closed out the map.

With an ACS of 319 and 54 kills to his name, Zachary "zekken" Patrone was the best player of the match.

On August 17, Sentinels will play against EDward Gaming for a chance to qualify for the Valorant Champions Upper Bracket Final. Meanwhile, the day before, DRX will play against Trace Esports in the first round of the Lower Bracket.
