Rogue have announced a partnership with Spanish organization KOI that will seemingly see all current Rogue rosters compete under the KOI banner.

KOI is owned by Ibai "Ibai" Llanos, a 27-year-old Spanish Twitch streamer who has over 10.8 million followers on Twitter and 11.7 million followers on Twitch.

Who is Ibai?

Ibai Llanos is a former League of Legends caster who joined G2 Esports as a content creator on Feb. 2020. In Dec. 2021, Ibai and FC Barcelona player Gerard Piqué announced the creation of an esports organization known as KOI.

Ibai is known for organizing massive events, including the Balloon World Cup and two boxing events featuring popular Hispanic streamers and personalities. He has also talked to famous personalities on his Twitch channel, including Lionel Messi, Bad Bunny, and Ed Sheeran, among others.

Ibai currently holds the record for the highest number of peak concurrent viewers with an incredible 3.3 million viewers reached earlier this year. He has also been named "Streamer of the Year" by the Esports Awards in 2020 and 2021.

What is KOI?

Ibai and Gerard Piqué revealed all the details regarding KOI in Dec. 2021, revealing the name, badge, sponsors, and players of the team in front of 15,000 people at Palau Sant Jordi, Barcelona, Spain.

Since then, KOI has only played at a regional level in Spain, with teams in League of Legends and VALORANT. Now, KOI has reached a partnership with Rogue to elevate the brand.

Despite the English-speaking community being quite unaware of KOI's caliber, we are not talking of a small organization. KOI's fanbase is arguably larger than Rogue, with KOI having over 627,000 followers on Twitter mainly due to Ibai's strength on social media.

Will KOI compete in Rainbow Six Siege?

According to Ibai himself, the Rainbow Six Rogue team will eventually go under the KOI banner.

KOI will have eight teams from now on, including rosters in League of Legends Spain, League of Legends Europe, VALORANT Spain, VALORANT Europe, FIFA, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, and Call of Duty.

It's not just for League of Legends but also for all the other games where Rogue competes in, where they have won a Masters (sic) in Rainbow Six, or compete in Rocket League, or has a team, London Royal Ravens, in Call of Duty, that you know Activision forces teams to have another name that's not the one of your club. These three teams become, or start competing, under KOI: Rainbow Six, Rocket League, and Call of Duty.
