Riot Games has decided to remove Bleed Esports from the VCT Pacific. Instead, the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 second seed Boom Esports has been promoted to the region's top-flight division.

According to Riot Games' announcement, Bleed Esports has been removed from the VCT Pacific 2025 due to its "failure to comply with critical reporting requirements and other key obligations under the Team Participation Agreement (TPA)."

Riot Games' update also states there were "persistent operational failures" from Bleed Esports' side, which forced Riot Games to remove the team from VCT Pacific "to protect the best interest of the players and the league."

Shortly after Riot Games' update, Bleed Esports posted a statement on the organization's official X account. The Singaporean organization admitted having cooperating with Riot during the last year, as they "have been in constant communication with Riot to address issues related to our deliverables in the TPA."

Following Riot Games' decision to remove Bleed Esports from VCT Pacific 2025, the team will take "some time to process and evaluate" the organization's future in Valorant's competitive scene. However, Bleed Esports isn't fully partying ways with the team's squad. "We will continue to support our Valorant players and staff during this situation as we remain eligible for Challengers."

Due to Riot Games' decision to remove Bleed Esports, the team's players have already been removed from the VCT Global Contract Database. This means that the departure of the international champion and former OpTic Gaming player Jacob "yay" Whiteaker, who had been benched in May 2024, is very likely.

Finally, Riot Games decided to promote Boom Esports to the VCT Pacific 2025. The Indonesian roster finished in second place in the VCT Ascension Pacific 2024 after losing to Sin Prisa Gaming in the tournament's grand final.
