VOID Interactive, the developers behind the acclaimed tactical shooter Ready or Not, have released a public roadmap for the year 2024. The 68th edition of the biweekly development briefing published on February 16 marked the unveiling of the studio's ambitious plans for the rest of this year.
While the developers acknowledge that the presented content is subject to change, they express their commitment to delivering an enhanced gaming experience, even with the challenges and the nature of game development, especially for an indie developer.
In the short term, there's plenty of exciting stuff players can expect to arrive. There are upcoming releases planned for Spring and Summer, both being DLC. Then, in Fall 2024, the 1.2 update is expected to hit.
On top of DLC 1, in Spring, players can anticipate the 1.1 update. The DLC, aptly named "Home Invasion," will be free for Supporter Edition owners. Additionally, DLC 1 promises to introduce new weapons, a DLC-exclusive player outfit, and new maps.
Come Summer 2024, VOID Interactive plans to launch DLC 2, further expanding the game's content and providing players with new challenges. Just like DLC 1, it will bring new weapons and maps, however, we don't know the name of this expansion.
Finally, expect the 1.2 update to arrive later in the final months of 2024. On top of everything they've mentioned, VOID confirmed that players can expect bug fixes accompanying each DLC release, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience.
