Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup groups unveiled

Only five days after the conclusion of the North American Closed Qualifiers for the Rainbow Six Siege Esports World Cup, the tournament's official X account (formerly known as Twitter) unveiled the shape of the initial group stage.

The sixteen qualified teams have been split into two groups of eight rosters. As each group will have its double-elimination bracket, the Upper Bracket will include BO1 games, while the Loser Bracket will only include BO3 matches.

Group Stage

Group A includes the following teams:

  • Europe's Top 1-2 seed: Team BDS
  • North America's Top 1-2 seed: Luminosity Gaming
  • Brazil's Top 1-2 seed: w7m esports
  • Brazil's Top 3-4 seed: Team Liquid
  • North America's Top 3 seed: Spacestation Gaming
  • Oceania's Top 1 seed: Team Bliss
  • South Korea's Top 1 seed: PSG Talon
  • LATAM's Top 1 seed: Team Cruelty

Meanwhile, Group B includes the following teams:

  • Europe's Top 1-2 seed: Wolves Esports
  • North America's Top 1-2 seed: DarkZero Esports
  • Brazil's Top 1-2 seed: FaZe Clan
  • Brazil's Top 3-4 seed: FURIA Esports
  • Europe's Top 3 seed: Into the Breach
  • Asia's Top 1 seed: Bleed Esports
  • Japan's Top 1 seed: SCARZ
  • MENA's Top 1 seed: Geekay Esports

Matches

A few days after the groups were announced, the Esports World Cup unveiled the first matches of the group stage. Here's how the bracket looks like!

Group A

Group A will see Team BDS facing off against Team Cruelty, in what will be the lineup's first match against a Mexican-majority side. The winner of the match will play against the victorious side of the series between Spacestation Gaming and w7m esports.

Meanwhile, in the other side of the bracket, Luminosity Gaming will play against Team Bliss in what will be the American organisation's first international Siege appearance since December 2019. The winner of the match will play against the winner of the game between PSG Talon and Team Liquid.

Group B

The Saudi Arabian-majority roster of Geekay Esports will make its debut at the Esports World Cup against DarkZero Esports, almost six months after the last clash between both sides at the Six Invitational 2024. The winner of the series will play against the victorious side of the match between FURIA Esports and Into the Breach.

Last but not least, Bleed Esports will play against Wolves Esports in what will be the French-majority roster return to an international competition after missing out on the BLAST R6 Major Manchester. The winner will face off against the winning side of the game between FaZe Clan and SCARZ, who met at the BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen quarter-finals.
