Following today's play-day of the VCT Pacific Stage 2, Gen.G Esports and Talon Esports have joined Paper Rex and DRX as the four teams that will represent the region at the Valorant Champions Seoul, which will be played from August 1 to August 25.

While both Paper Rex and DRX secured their spots after taking the group stage's top two seeds, Gen.G Esports and Talon Esports qualified after winning their respective knockout matches.

The VCT Masters Shanghai champions were the first to clinch a spot to compete in Seoul following their win against Rex Regum Qeon. Considering that the South Koreans reached the grand finals in Madrid and won in Shanghai, the golden players are seen as the main favourites to lift the trophy under the Seoul lights.

Meanwhile, Talon Esports followed shortly after defeating Team Secret on Lotus and Abbys. The game saw the debut of the Thai talent Papaphat "Primmie" Sriphapha, who averaged the highest combat score (305) after securing 52 kills while maining Clove and Jett.

Looking at the VCT Pacific points standings, Gen.G Esports and Paper Rex sit on top of the table with 16 points each. Meanwhile, DRX (10) and Talon Esports (7) follow. Therefore, the Lower Bracket Semifinal loser will qualify for the Valorant Champions Seoul through the VCT Pacific points standings, while the other three will qualify as the region's top three seeds.

Before that, tomorrow's action will see Paper Rex playing against Gen.G Esports and DRX playing against Talon Esports in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. One day later we will know the exact seeding order in Pacific, while the region's grand final will take place on July 21.
