Paper Rex have knocked out FUT Esports of Valorant Champions Seoul after victories on Sunset (13-11) and Bind (13-6). The Pacific roster will play against EDward Gaming in Group D's final elimination match.

Paper Rex started the series well with a victory on FUT Esports' map pick, Sunset. Then, on Bind, the Asian roster got control of the map quickly with a 9-3 half. Eventually, the Turkish side couldn't complete what would have been a historical comeback and lost the final map of the series.

This is FUT Esports worst result at any Valorant Champions as they reached last year's quarter-finals. Curiously enough, the Turkish side also lost to Paper Rex in last year's edition.

On August 11, Paper Rex will play against EDward Gaming as the winner will take Group D's second seed. They will join G2 Esports, who defeated both sides to take the group's first seed.
