Contrary to what was said before, players won't have to wait until Season 14 to be able to enjoy the 6v6 format in Overwatch 2.

Just one day before the mid-season patch for Season 13, Blizzard has announced a new limited-time mode called Overwatch Classic. As the name indicates, this will offer all the content that was available on the first game at launch back in 2016.

Apart from the 6v6 format, only the original 21 heroes will be available to pick and players can enjoy some of the original maps like 2CP on Hanamura, Volksaya Industries, and Temple of Anubis.

All heroes will have their original abilities, like Mercy's Ultimate Rez ability, being able to bring back the whole team from the dead, or Symmetra's original kit.

The mode will go live on Tuesday, November 12, after the mid-season patch drops at 11:00 am PT (7:00 pm GMT), and will remain available for three weeks, leaving the game on Tuesday, December 3.

In case you haven't seen it, here is the trailer for the mode:
