Now that Overwatch 2 Season 11 is getting closer, Blizzard has started to reveal details about the new content. The season will be titled Super Mega Ultrawatch and will feature a superhero theme, with most of the skins from the battle pass following this trend.
With new additions arriving soon along with several changes, probably affecting the current meta, here is everything revealed so far about the new season.
Release date
Overwatch 2 Season 11 is set to begin on Tuesday, June 18, the same day the current battle pass expires. Just like every season, the new content will arrive at 11:00 am PT (7:00 BST) through an update.
PC players will be able to preload this update a few days before its release through the Battle.net launcher.
Trailer
The launch trailer for this season will premiere on Monday, June 17 and you'll be able to see it through the following video:
Clash and Hanaoka
Although players already got a chance to play it in Season 10, this new season will permanently introduce the mode Clash along with the map Hanaoka. In this mode, teams fight to capture points in a linear map.

Once a team captures a point, they can push to the next one closer to the enemy base while the enemy team can retake captured points and push back. The first team to either capture five points or reach and capture the final point at the enemy base wins.
Both additions will be available in the pool of maps/modes of Quick Play and we expect them to be integrated into Competitive Play either at launch or a little after the start of Season 11.
New map: Runasapi
Hanaoka is not the only new map coming this season, as Runasapi is also debuting. This map was first announced during the developer update provided by the game's director, Aaron Keller, before the start of Season 10.
This will be a Push map set in Peru, the country of origin of Illari. The video gave us a brief glimpse at how the map will look but we still don't have much to go off of.

Other details
Here are other details that are either rumored or confirmed to be coming out in the next season as of now:
- After two support heroes getting the mythic skins in the past two seasons, a Tank or DPS hero is expected to get this season's mythic.
- According to a leak on Reddit, a new charity event might take place during this season, where the sales of a specific cosmetic will go into a foundation. It is believed that Mercy will be the hero receiving a skin for this charity, similar to what happened with the Pink Mercy skin.
- Given that the next new hero, codenamed Space Ranger, is coming out in Season 12, we should get a test session to try her during the second half of Season 11.
