Competitive Drives is a new incentive program for Overwatch 2's competitive mode. Players will get a chance to earn new rewards for a limited time so you better get your games going.

Here is a guide on everything you need to know about the Competitive Drives, Drive Points, and Signatures so you can read about it and prepare accordingly.

How to get Drive Points?

Every time you win a competitive game, you will earn Drive Points equal to ten times the percentage gained. If your SR goes up by 20%, you will get 200 Drive Points.

However, if you lose a game, you will lose five times the percentage lost in Drive Points. For instance, if the percentage lost is 19%, you will lose 95 Drive Points.

Drive Points can only be obtained through certain periods, called Drives, which will happen at least once per season.

Signatures and rewards

A set of checkpoints will be available anytime a Drive is active. When completed, each one will give players a reward that can be either Competitive Points or Signatures, a new cosmetic that goes around the BattleTag in name cards, the hero portrait, Play of the Game highlight intros, and more.

After reaching a checkpoint, players can't lose the amount of Drive Points accumulated for it even after losing.

These are the checkpoints and the rewards for each one:

  • Tier 1: 300 Total Drive Points - 500 Competitive Points
  • Tier 2: 700 Total Drive Points - Signature
  • Tier 3: 1200 Total Drive Points - 1000 Competitive Points
  • Tier 4: 1700 Total Drive Points - Advanced Signature
  • Tier 5: 2200 Total Drive Points - 1500 Competitive Points
  • Tier 6: 2700 Total Drive Points - Elite Signature

How to upgrade your Signature?

Each Signature can be upgraded or prestiged every time you participate in a Drive. The Signature's prestige will be represented by a Roman numeral at the left side of the frame. The following image shows how the prestige will look on the first Signature's base, advanced, and elite version:
