Onigiri parts ways with Elevate, looks for NA and EU opportunities

The longtime Elevate captain is leaving his team.

Paramin "Onigiri" Suwanwattana today announced his departure from APAC South team Elevate in a post on Twitter. As a result, he will be a restricted free agent heading in to the 2023 season.

In the accompanying TwitLonger, he explained that his "just seeking a new experience" and is looking to join a team in NA or EU. He also shared that he is willing to fly to NA or EU cities just for a trial and that he can also speak basic French and German, on top of fluent English.

Onigiri's announcement comes after a disappointing group stage exit for Elevate at the Six Invitational 2023, where his team finished at the bottom of their group.

This followed a rollercoaster 2022 season, where his team debuted internationally with a top 12 finish at the Six Invitational, qualified for but failed to play at the Charlotte Major, almost made it to the Berlin Major semi-finals, and then could not qualify for the Jönköping Major.
